Mix butter and coconut oil in mixer. Add in 1/2 C. flour, salt, and water; mix. Add in remaining flour gradually.
Make dough into a ball. Place between two pieces of wax paper and use rolling pin to flatten to a little larger than your pie dish.
Add your pie filling and bake according to pie directions. No need to bake crust in advance unless your pie filling will not require baking.
-This recipe makes ONLY the bottom or top crust. If you're making a pie with a top and bottom crust, double recipe.
-You can also make in advance and freeze (couple months) or refrigerate (few days). After you make into a ball, place in gallon size freezer bag and roll out as much as possible inside the bag. Finish rolling after you remove from bag and are ready to use. If frozen, allow to thaw. If refrigerated, give it a few minutes to come to room temperature before rolling/placing in pie dish.
