Pizza
Ingredients
Pizza Crust (2 homemade personal size or store bought) 10 oz Marinara Sauce (about 1/2 jar) 1/4 Onion, Diced 1/3 Green Pepper, Diced 1 Tomato, Sliced 1/2 - 1 Chicken Breast, Chopped Red Pepper Flakes 6 oz Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded Supplies 9-inch round non-stick pan (2) Oven Knife Cutting Board Spoon for Spreading |
Directions
Place pre-cooked pizza crust in non-stick pan. Spread 4-5 oz marinara sauce over top. Sprinkle onion, green pepper, tomato, chicken, and red pepper flakes on sauce. Sprinkle desired amount of cheese on top of pizza. Cook in 350 degree oven until cheese is melted, about 15 minutes. Notes: I prefer a homemade pizza crust because it's healthier, tastier, and easy to make. I make a bunch at once and freeze them so they're ready to go whenever I want pizza. Personal size pizzas are great for families because everyone can choose their own toppings and make the pizza to their liking. Plus it's kid-friendly to have them create their own. Just have all topping options pre-cut and everyone can pick and choose. Add your cheese before the toppings or after, the taste will be the same. I prefer after because it keeps my toppings from falling off and helps the cheese melt nicely. But the problem there is that it's more difficult to tell which pizza is which. There are SO many ways you can go with this pizza. The above ingredients are based on how I made my pizza today, but here's a list of some other topping ideas:
Also, I like spicy pizza so I have added red pepper flakes. Other options include basil, oregano, or pepper. Another way to mix up the pizza is using a white sauce or other flavored sauce. Then you can also make it fun with a different cheese. I like the Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Romano mix. You could also put cheddar cheese on a BBQ chicken pizza - that sounds like one I'm going to have to try out soon!
